(Lounge Club in Haeundae)
As the summer vacation season nears, new lounge clubs are reopening in Busan’s Haeundae area, reviving a nightlife scene that had nearly vanished during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The tourism industry is hopeful that this revival will attract both domestic and international visitors looking for evening entertainment.
According to industry sources on the 26th, the ‘Bellagio Lounge’ is set to open on July 12 in the basement of the Haeundae Paradise Hotel.
The space previously hosted prominent clubs, including ‘Venue,’ which closed during the pandemic.
Bellagio will offer a more refined lounge atmosphere aimed at visitors in their 20s to 40s, featuring DJ sets across genres like hip-hop, EDM, and K-pop, along with live bands and artist showcases.
Meanwhile, on the first floor of the Pale de Cz building, a Cuban-themed lounge named ‘La Habana’ is under construction.
With a focus on Latin jazz, including bossa nova and samba—La Habana will deliver a cultural experience alongside ocean views and regular DJ and live performances.
Local hospitality and tourism operators are optimistic that these openings will help shift nightlife attention back to Haeundae, which in recent years has lost younger visitors to Gwangalli.
The return of lounge clubs is being seen as a much-needed boost to the area’s evening tourism appeal.
