Osan Air Base — The Army & Air Force Exchange Service brought Airmen and their families at Osan Air Force Base a new taste of home with Dunkin’ Donuts.

Col. Jonelle Eychner, 51st Mission Support Group commander; Trevor Smith, 51 MSG deputy director; Scott Bonner, Exchange regional vice president; and Boris Nasci, Exchange general manager cut the ribbon on the new restaurant Feb. 23.

“This grand opening is a true testament of our Exchange’s mission to continue to improve the quality of your lives,” said Boris Nasci, Exchange general manager for Osan and Suwon. “It’s exciting to bring Dunkin’ Donuts to Osan Air Base.

During the ceremony, Eychner expressed her appreciation for the partnership her command has with the Exchange.

“The AAFES partnership with the base is greatly appreciated because they are continually working to make Osan a better place to live, work and play through what they offer in merchandise selection, food, and special opportunities to our military families,” Eychner said.

The Airmen must always be prepared to ‘fight tonight’ but for many, an assignment to Korea is a new adventure but look to the Exchange for hometown comfort.

“While many Airmen look forward to exploring the local culture, there are many Airmen who find comfort in the food and merchandise AAFES provides because it reminds them of home,” Eychner said. “AAFES continued support is critical because the services provided by the Exchange contributes to the morale of our Airmen and their families.”
