Korean Ramen (World Ramen Festival )
The World Ramen Festival is set to kick off today through May 11, offering a week-long celebration of food, music, and entertainment.
Taking place across multiple stages and venues at the Osiria Tourist Complex, Sirang-ri, Gijang-eup, the event will feature everything from ramen-themed competitions to live performances by top K-pop idols and EDM DJs.
Ramen brands from 15 countries are expected with thousands of options to choose from.
Here’s a look at the full schedule:
May 2 (Friday) – Opening Day The festival opens at 9:00 a.m. with setup and a morning busking competition. The official opening ceremony begins at 5:50 p.m., followed by live performances from Park Seo-jin, Yoo Ji-gwang, Seo Ji-oh, Min Soo-hyun, Minji, and Jeong Ga-yeon. A fireworks display will light up the night at 9 p.m., with EDM taking over the third-floor stage until 2 a.m.
May 3 (Saturday) The day features busking competitions, a labor song contest, and performances by girl groups including Sparkbomb, HighCute’s Yujin, and Cubix. The night ends with EDM until 2 a.m.
May 4 (Sunday) Magic shows, balloon performances, and busking contests fill the morning and afternoon. Evening performances by girl groups Cubix, Red Mint, and T.MIR wrap up the main stage before the EDM party begins.
May 5 (Monday – Children’s Day) Themed shows and activities for children include magic and balloon shows. The night ends with a concert by Park Sang-chul and performances from girl group Eleven.
May 6 (Tuesday) The day continues with more busking rounds, recreation programs, and performances by girl groups Like Me and MPRISM.
May 7 (Wednesday) Activities include busking, recreation, and a concert featuring Hexia and Like Me.
May 8 (Thursday – Parents’ Day) More busking events and an evening dedicated to celebrating parents, with performances by Like Me and HighCute’s Yujin.
May 9 (Friday) Labor song preliminaries lead into evening performances from girl groups T.MIR and Sparkbomb.
May 10 (Saturday) The day features ramen-eating competitions and the Silver Song Contest, with performances by Miss Trot’s Kang Yu-jin, Voice Queen’s Kim Sun-young, and trot singer Chan-won, along with Craze Angel.
May 11 (Sunday – Final Day) Busking finals will take place throughout the day. The festival concludes with the Ramen Song Contest featuring performances by Song Sil-jang, Ko Jae-geun, Hwang Yoon-sung, and Park Ji-hyun.
Nightly EDM parties continue every evening from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the third-floor concert hall. With music, food, and entertainment running nonstop, this year’s World Ramen Festival promises to serve up excitement for all ages.
