KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Senior Airman Nigel Harris, 8th Operations Support Squadron airfield management specialist, was awarded the 8th Fighter Wing’s ‘Pride of the Pack’ for the week of Dec. 2-6. Within 48 hours, Harris created a 12-aircraft parking plan that was flawlessly executed during a two-day exercise with the Royal Korean Army.

He coordinated with the air traffic control tower to sequence aircraft arrivals and departures, ensuring safety on a fully occupied ramp. He also managed over 24 arrival and departure times and issued prior permission required permit numbers, completing the equivalent of 30 days’ worth of work in only two days.

Additionally, Harris has taken the lead in creating section duty schedules, reviewing quick reaction checklists, and managing daily responsibilities. His efforts showcase his readiness for increased responsibilities and his commitment to the mission. Thank you, Senior Airman Harris, for your hard work and leadership and congratulations on winning this week’s ‘Pride of the Pack’.
