KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Staff Sgt. Bryson Forrest has been named Kunsan Air Base’s ‘Pride of the Pack’ for the week of Sep. 2-6.

Staff Sgt. Forrest was recruited from the 8th Maintenance Squadron to fill the 8th Fighter Wing’s protocol noncommissioned officer in charge position. During his tenure at protocol, Forrest oversaw the successful execution of more than 52 official wing events, including the successful turnover of Wolf Pack leadership in 19 changes of commands over a two week period.

He also executed 16 distinguished visitor visits for senior leaders from various levels of the Department of Defense. Each visit highlighted the wing’s infrastructure and quality-of-life initiatives and showcased Kunsan’s high operational readiness capabilities. His hard work also led wing leadership to hand-select him to spearhead the 2nd annual Wolf Leadership Forum committee.

“I like my job because I get to visit pretty much every agency on base and learn about what they do,” said Forrest. “It also provides me the opportunity to broaden my career perspective by allowing me to engage with some of the most senior leaders in the Air Force.”

As an avid volunteer on the installation, he also started the Kunsan Soccer Team; recruiting members and coaching the team to a first place win at the U.S Forces Korea armed forces tournament in its inaugural season.

Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Forrest for his selection as Pride of the Pack!
