Hanyang Fortress Moonlight Night Tour

Hanyang Fortress Moonlight Night Tour (Seoul City Government)

The 2024 Hanyang Fortress Moonlight Night Tour will take place on October 18-19, along the Naksan section of the Hanyang Fortress.

This year’s event invites citizens to become part of the “Fortress Guard” and solve the mystery of the “Gwaeseo,” through an interactive mission tour.

The program, themed “The Secret of the Gwaeseo – Protect the Hanyang Fortress,” is designed as a training journey where participants must pass challenges to become elite members of the Joseon military.

Each mission has varying levels of difficulty, offering an engaging and exciting experience. The tour will take place in the Naksan area, covering major sites like 369 Masil, Jangsu Village, and Naksan Park.

Two tours will run each day at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., accommodating a total of 900 participants. Those interested can register\ on the Seoul Cultural Headquarters’ official blog.

Participants will receive a mission map, ID, and a pouch containing currency, which can be used to trade for food and weapons at a marketplace. The final mission takes place at Naksan Park, where participants will uncover the secret of the “Gwaeseo” and defeat the forces disturbing the fortress.

The event is open to anyone above 3rd grade, with minors requiring a guardian.
