Seoul City has released its 2025 festival schedule, offering a variety of cultural, artistic, and recreational events throughout the year.

The announcement comes after the seasonal shift following Gyeongchip, marking the official start of spring.

The city aims to provide residents and visitors with opportunities to plan ahead and fully enjoy the diverse festivities.

From music and garden exhibitions to outdoor sports and traditional cultural celebrations, Seoul’s festivals will be spread across the city’s major venues.

The spring lineup includes the Seoul Spring Festa (April 30–May 6), held at multiple locations including Seoul World Cup Stadium and Seoul Plaza. The Seoul Circus Festival (May 3–5) and the Seoul Drum Festival (May 10–11) will take place at Nodeul Island, while the Seoul Runners Festival (April 26) will be hosted at Yeouido Park. The Seoul International Garden Expo (May 22–October 20) will be held at Boramae Park, and the Car-Free Jamsu Bridge Festival (May 4–June 22) will transform the bridge into a cultural hub every Sunday.

The summer season features classical and contemporary performances, including the Seoul Philharmonic Riverside Concert (June 13–14) at Yeouido Hangang Park and the Seoul Summer Arts Festival (June 14–15) at Nodeul Island. Outdoor Opera at Gwanghwamun Square (June 1–2) and the Sejong Summer Festival (August 28–30) will bring music and performing arts to the heart of the city.

In the fall, large-scale events such as the Seoul International Fireworks Festival (scheduled for mid-September) at Yeouido and Ichon Hangang Park, the Seoul Street Arts Festival (October 5–9), and the Seoul Music Festival (early November) at Nodeul Island will take place. Traditional cultural events such as the Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival (September 27–28) at Namsangol Hanok Village and the King Jeongjo Royal Procession (September 28) from Gwanghwamun to Nodeul Island will also be held.

Winter in Seoul will be highlighted by the Seoul Winter Festa in mid-December, transforming the city with immersive light displays. Additionally, the Seoul Sculpture Festival, which was previously a single annual event, will expand to two exhibitions—one in spring (May 23–24) at Baekje Cultural Park in Pungnap-dong and another in fall (September 1–7) at Ttukseom Hangang Park.

Seoul’s Korean Traditional Music Festival (June 7) will take place at Uijeongbu Historic Site Plaza and Namsangol Hanok Village, while the Seoul Traditional Cultural Festival will offer a range of interactive experiences.
