Seoul Friendship Festival (Seoul Metropolitan Government)
Seoul’s largest international cultural exchange event, the 2025 Seoul Friendship Festival, will take place on May 24–25 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), transforming the area into a vibrant global village with participation from 67 countries.
Under the theme “Seoul and the World, Walking Together in Culture,” the festival features a World Food Zone with dishes from 50 countries, a Dessert Zone with sweets from 21 countries, and embassy booths from 52 countries. A K-Food Zone will also introduce regional Korean specialties.
Visitors can enjoy 10 global stage performances, including an Italian circus, Mongolian dance, Peruvian marinera, and New Zealand’s Māori kapa haka.
Cultural zones allow guests to try on traditional costumes from Mexico, Japan, China, and Peru or experience folk games from Indonesia and India. The World Cube Photo Exhibition highlights global landmarks and cultures, while the DDP design street hosts a diplomatic promotional zone.
