Songdo Central Park

Songdo Central Park in Incheon, South Korea is inspired by New York City’s centerpiece green space. You may also recognize this location as the setting for the hit 2012 K-Pop music video “Gangnam Style” by recording artist PSY.

“Gangnam Style” is a satirical commentary on the lives of the residents of Gangnam, Seoul’s affluent district. Though the song theme is about Gangnam, the scenes were filmed mostly at Songdo Central Park and it’s surrounding areas like the subway station and parking lot.

Even if you’re not familiar with the musical musings of PSY, the park offers many activities. With a waterway running through the center, park visitors can try numerous water activities including boating and canoeing or a quick trip on the water taxi. The park is a great setting if you want to recreate the “Gangnam Style” video and signature dance.
