The 44th Busan Art Festival is underway through October 1 at the Busan Port Pier 1 warehouse, showcasing works from 907 artists across 12 divisions.

Organized by the Busan Art Association, the festival offers a centralized venue for the first time since the pandemic, featuring a diverse array of local talent.

In preparation for the association’s 80th anniversary, this year’s event includes participatory programs such as Art Salons, which feature artist demonstrations, calligraphy, seminars, and a flea market.

Visitors can also enjoy workshops and docent-led tours.

In addition to visual art, the festival incorporates a sensory experience through a collaboration with Quantum Scent, where perfumes inspired by 10 selected artists’ works will be available for visitors to experience.

Educational lectures by prominent figures will provide artists with insights into topics such as online promotion strategies and copyright practices.
