Hialeah Lawn Square (Busan Facilities Corporation)
Busan Citizens Park’s Hialeah Lawn Square has opened one month earlier than in the previous year.
The lawn square was opened to the public on April 1, as the Busan Facilities Corporation cited increased visitor numbers and rising daytime temperatures as reasons for the early opening.
The early opening allows citizens to enjoy outdoor activities on the lawn during the pleasant spring weather.
In response, the Facilities Corporation has organized various events and programs to coincide with the opening, including a sand sculpture photo zone, open leisure sessions, a garden experience program, a mock city hall for children, a children’s culture festival, the “Let’s Play at Citizens’ Park” program, open concerts, and a street art festival.
To protect the grass, access to the lawn square will be restricted every Monday from this month through January of next year, allowing the lawn to rest and recover weekly.
