(Busan I-IV Music Festival)

The 2025 Busan I-IV Music Festival will be held from May 13 to 16 at the Busan Cultural Center, offering audiences a wide range of classical music performances, from emerging soloists and chamber ensembles to large-scale piano collaborations and opera gala concerts.

Hosted by the Busan Music Association, the four-part festival begins on May 13 at 7:30 p.m. with the Newcomer Concert in the Medium Theater. Recent graduates from local universities, including Kyungsung, Kosin, Dong-a, Pusan National, and others, will take the stage after passing a competitive selection process.

On May 14, the Chamber Music Night will also be held in the Medium Theater at 7:30 p.m. Ten regional ensembles such as the Busan String Quartet, Nanum Flute Ensemble, and BS Opus Ensemble will present a diverse program of chamber works.

The Grand Piano Festival on May 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Theater will feature seven ensembles performing on five grand pianos simultaneously. The lineup includes student teams from Busan-based universities and two new ensembles affiliated with the association.

The festival concludes on May 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Theater with an Opera Gala Concert, presenting highlights from The Elixir of Love and Carmen, performed by leading Busan vocalists and accompanied by the Busan Youth Orchestra.
