The largest drone exhibition in Asia, formerly known as Drone Show Korea, has been rebranded as DSK 2025 and will take place at BEXCO for three days starting on February 26.

Marking its 10th anniversary, it will feature its largest-ever lineup.

DSK 2025 will bring together 306 companies, including 66 overseas firms from 15 countries, with a record-breaking 1,130 exhibition booths spanning 26,508㎡.

The event will also include an academic conference with 44 speakers and moderators from nine countries, alongside various interactive experiences.

High-profile attendees, including ambassadors to Korea, military officials, police officers, government representatives, and international organization delegates from 20 countries, will participate as buyers and engage in business exchanges with domestic industry leaders.

The event is jointly hosted by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Busan Metropolitan City Government, with BEXCO as the main organizer and the Korea Unmanned Aerial Systems Association as a co-organizer.

Starting this year, the Aerospace Joint Pavilion, led by the Aerospace Agency (AA), will present an expanded vision for DSK 2025, encompassing drones, space, and aviation industries.

The pavilion will showcase cutting-edge aerospace technologies developed by research institutes, universities, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Notably, the exhibition will feature major innovations such as Nuri, South Korea’s space launch vehicle, and stratospheric drones.

It will also highlight the latest achievements from the Space Pioneer Project, which focuses on localizing core technologies for launch vehicles and satellites, including GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers for geostationary satellites.

GNSS technology underpins global satellite positioning systems, including the US GPS and Russia’s GLONASS.

The two-day conference, running from February 26 to 27, will open with keynote speeches from Clinton Hyman, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Land Reform and Rural Development of South Africa, and Lee Bo-hyung, a specialist at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and the country’s first drone operation commander.

They will discuss global drone industry trends and the future of aviation and mobility.

On the afternoon of the 26th, the World Bank, US drone industry media outlet Drone Life, and UbiFi, South Korea’s first drone company to achieve $10 million in exports, will participate in discussions.

The following day, on the 27th, the conference will be divided into two tracks, focusing on topics such as drone commercialization, policy and technology, global market expansion, AI integration, future energy sources, and sustainable aviation.

For the public, the Drone Enter Zone, featuring water drone racing and e-drone racing, will be held inside Hall 3 of the exhibition center.

A major highlight will be a 600-drone fireworks show on the evening of the 26th. The 10-minute spectacle, themed “Connection and Innovation that Opens the Future,” will light up the sky above BEXCO starting at 7 p.m.

Spectators can watch from the designated viewing area in the BEXCO outdoor exhibition space near the national flagpole.
