Changwon Special City invites you to explore the enchanting Dotseom Island, where the air is perfumed with the fragrance of chrysanthemums.

As autumn casts its serene spell, the island comes alive, painting smiles on the faces of its visitors, mirroring the efflorescence of the vibrant flowers.

On the 24th, Mayor Hong Nam-pyo announced that Dotseom Marine Recreation Area in Masan Happo-gu is now adorned with a splendid bloom of fall flowers, especially chrysanthemums, reaching their peak in resplendent hues.

A mere 10-minute boat ride from the Dotseom Cruise Terminal leads you to a breathtaking sight: chrysanthemums basking in the warm autumn sun, painting a vivid yellow backdrop around the benches near the tourist information center. Along the coastal promenade, the island’s landscape is adorned with a medley of wildflowers like the sky-blue gaura, bright yellow hairy coltsfoot, and fragrant chrysanthemums.

During the upcoming Masan Chrysanthemum Festival, from the 28th to November 6th, Dotseom Lawn Square will be adorned with delightful chrysanthemum artworks, offering a warm welcome to all visitors.

The island also features the Tongki sculpture, paying homage to Korea’s last polar bear, Tongki (1995-2018), who found a home on Dotseom Island.

A climb to the island’s apex unveils a sprawling 1,700㎡ flower field, ablaze with the golden hues of marigolds and red sagebrush, creating an awe-inspiring tapestry of autumn colors against the backdrop of Masan Bay, offering a panoramic view that captivates the senses.

During the Masan Chrysanthemum Festival, visitors can relish a unique cruise yacht experience at a significantly discounted rate.

The Masan Marine Leisure Sports Center, situated on Dotseom Island, offers the ‘Dotseom Yacht Day’ special, providing a combined Dotseom round-trip ferry and yacht experience at the nominal fee of 13,000 won for adults.
