Sacheon City has transformed a 30,000㎡ area along its iconic Rainbow Coastal Road into a vibrant flower garden, aiming to create a picturesque destination in time for the 2025 “Visit Sacheon Year.”

The new addition features purple cloud flowers, which closely resemble red clover and are expected to bloom in full splendor from April to May next year.

The Sacheon City Agricultural Technology Center conducted a drone-sowing demonstration on September 27, with local farmers and officials in attendance.

The purple cloud flowers will complement the existing array of seven colorful blooms along the Rainbow Coastal Road, making it an ideal photo spot for visitors.

In addition to beautifying the area, the initiative also has agricultural benefits. As a green manure crop, the purple cloud flower enriches soil fertility and increases organic matter, helping reduce chemical fertilizer use and enhancing the efficiency of winter farmland.
