Gimhae City will hold the 2025 East Asia Youth Cultural Festival from July 28 to 30, continuing trilateral cultural exchanges between Korea, China, and Japan as part of the legacy of the East Asia Cultural City Project held in 2024.

The event, organized by the Gimhae Culture and Tourism Foundation, is now recruiting 20 youth participants (ages 17 to 19), including high school students, to take part in K-pop dance, cultural experiences, and team activities. Applications can be submitted via Naver Form until 6:00 pm on August 1. Final participants will be announced on July 9 on the Foundation’s website and contacted individually.

Youth from Dalian, China, and Munakata, Japan, who were involved in last year’s cultural city exchange, are expected to join this year’s event in Gimhae.

The three-day festival program includes:

  • Day 1: Opening ceremony at Gimhae Gaya Theme Park, cultural experiences, and a light festival

  • Day 2: Water park activities, K-pop dance competition, team video projects, and a visit to the Gimhae Astronomical Observatory

  • Day 3: Pottery-making session at the theme park and a final performance by The Painters

The city aims to foster deeper understanding and lasting friendships among East Asian youth through shared creative and cultural activities.
