The Gyeongnam Hamyang Ginseng Festival will take place from October 3rd to 9th at Millennium Forest Sangrim Park in Hamyang-gun.
Now in its 19th year, the festival promises an engaging lineup of events, performances, and interactive experiences that showcase the rich history and health benefits of Hamyang’s renowned ginseng.
Festival Highlights
The main attraction, “Find the Golden Ginseng”, will be held three times daily, guiding visitors through a storytelling journey about the legendary Simmani (ginseng hunter) and offering chances to win prizes like a pure gold don, Hamyang ginseng, and local gift certificates.
Evening Performances
The festival will light up autumn nights with vibrant performances such as the VIVA Festival, Sangrim Open Stage, and the Ginseng Song Festival, featuring local artists and hometown singers.
Family-Friendly Zones
New this year, the Healing Shelter & Pet Zone invites families and their pets to enjoy lively shows like the Bian Lian (face-changing), Magic Show, and Bill Balloon Show. Visitors can also explore hands-on programs, including the Ginseng Hairpin Workshop, Anti-Aging Health Experience, Traditional Culture Activities, and various Craft Experiences.
Floral Feast & Local Flavor
Sangrim Park, the festival’s venue, will be in full bloom, adding to the scenic beauty and charm. Food stalls and cultural exhibitions provide additional treats for visitors to savor.
