(Han River Swimming Pools and Water Playgrounds)

Seoul will open six outdoor swimming pools and water play areas along the Han River on June 20, offering a summer escape within the city through August 31.

Pools in Ttukseom, Yeouido, and Jamwon, and water play areas in Jamsil, Yanghwa, and Nanji will operate daily with extended hours until 10 p.m., except for Yanghwa which closes at 6 p.m.

Facilities feature pools tailored for different age groups, shaded resting areas, and amenities like showers and fountains. Entry fees range from 1,000 to 5,000 won, with free admission for children under six and discounts for eligible groups.

Real-time water quality displays, staffed safety personnel, and on-site nurses will ensure a safe and clean environment.

Price controls at concession stands will prevent overcharging, and emergency systems like AEDs and first aid kits will be in place.

Mangwon and Gwangnaru pools will remain closed this year due to construction.
