The 2025 German Village Maifest will take place on May 24 at the German Village Square in Samdong-myeon in Namhae.

Inspired by traditional spring festivals held in Germany and Austria, the event will celebrate the season with cultural performances and hands-on experiences.

Highlights include a Maibaum (traditional flower pole), children’s snack-eating contests, German folk dance lessons, and yodelling sessions.

A themed “Dorf Youth Market” will showcase local specialties and handmade crafts, reflecting the unique character of the German Village.

In addition, the nearby Garden Art Village will offer free admission during the festival, allowing visitors to enjoy curated gardens and outdoor artworks alongside the festivities.
