Flights between Gimhae International Airport and Xi’an, China, will officially resume this summer, while the number of flights to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, will also be increased.

The schedule applies from March 30 to December 25, 2025, as part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s newly announced summer flight plan.

According to the Ministry, domestic and international airlines will operate up to 4,783 international flights per week across 246 routes in 45 countries during the summer season.

This marks a 5.6% increase from last year’s summer schedule and a 3.6% rise compared to the 2019 pre-pandemic average.

Key highlights include resumption of previously suspended routes such as Gimhae–Xi’an and adding more flights to Ulaanbaatar, reflecting growing passenger interest in the Mongolia route.

Gimhae Airport currently operates 38 international routes. In Northeast Asia, there are 22 destinations including cities in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka), China (Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an), Taiwan (Taipei, Kaohsiung), Hong Kong, Macao, and Ulaanbaatar.

In Southeast Asia, flights connect Busan to 15 destinations, including Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Bali. One North American route, to Guam, is also available.
