Jinju City will reopen the Olbaum Saturday Night Market on August 16 after a break during the peak summer heat.
The market will operate every Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. until October in the Nongae Market Arcade area, behind the Jinju Employment Welfare Plus Center.
Visitors can enjoy 12 different food options, including yukjeon (Korean pancakes), dakkoji (grilled chicken skewers), and mala cream shrimp tempura, along with busking, street karaoke, and interactive events.
The market attracts over 2,000 visitors weekly and is the only permanent night market in Jinju.
A city official said the event has become a key nighttime tourism attraction since its launch in 2022, helping to revitalize the downtown commercial district.
This year, the city plans to collaborate with the nearby Jinju Jinmaek Brewery to draw younger crowds and further boost the local economy.
