Encounter hundreds of adorable bears at Bear Tree Park, a family-friendly spot in Sejong City, just 45 kilometers (28 miles) away from Camp Humphreys. The park is an arboretum and zoo covering over 330,000 square meters.

While exploring this wonderland, you can encounter not only around a hundred moon bears (Asian black bears) and brown bears, but also other animals like deer, peacocks, and mandarin ducks. Moreover, its vast pond hosts thousands of colorful koi fish.

The park is also home to over 1,000 species of flowers and trees, including rare pine trees, deciduous trees, junipers, roses, wildflowers and more. Stop in at the greenhouse for a close look at tropical plants and other botanical beauties.

Kids can participate in various programs which allow them to interact with the animals. Visitors can also purchase animal food to feed the bears, koi fish, deer, and goats, making it a great experience for all the animal lovers in your family.

Throughout the year, Bear Tree Park also has exciting events and festivals, so don’t miss out. Furthermore, make sure to visit during different seasons to enjoy the spring and fall landscapes the park has to offer. Coming up from mid-October to early November, make plans to check out the foliage festival, which will showcase the captivating beauty of autumn colors.
