Lotte Department Store’s Busan Main Branch is rolling out large-scale experiential content during the summer vacation season, with its flagship attraction being the “Pokémon Capsule Station in Busan”, a collaborative event with Pokémon Korea and the Busan Transportation Corporation, running from July 25 to August 17.

The event transforms not only the department store but also key areas of the city into Pokémon-themed zones.

Since July 18, subway trains on Busan Lines 1 and 2 have featured “Ditto’s Summer Vacation”-themed interior wraps, delighting locals and visitors alike.

In addition, six major subway stations, including Busan Station, Gupo Station, Sports Complex, Gwangan, Jeonpo, and Beomnaegol, now host Pokémon photo zones, media walls, and stamp rally booths to engage tourists in transit.

The “Stamp Rally” is expected to be a hit with families and younger visitors. Participants who collect three or more stamps receive a Pokémon sun cap, while those who collect all six get a clear file and a QR ticket holder, redeemable at Lotte’s 1st basement event hall. Also launching are 600,000 limited-edition QR transit tickets featuring six Pokémon designs, with special Pikachu-voiced gate sounds, adding a playful touch to commuting.

Inside the department store, the Pokémon Capsule Station on the basement floor is a hybrid retail and experience space. Visitors can browse a goods shop, capsule toy corner, Pokémon card store, and Ichiban Kuji prize machines.

Over 80% of the merchandise will be new releases, including exclusive items like the Ditto Stationmaster Pikachu cushion and the Pokémon Sleep Figure Series, which will be released in phases.

Roughly 100 capsule toy machines will be placed across the event zone, and limited-edition Pokémon cards available only in Busan will provide collectors with a rare treat.

The collaboration also supports local partnerships, including the Busan Transportation Corporation, which marks its 40th anniversary, and Seomyeon’s Jungang Mall, reflecting Lotte’s effort to connect with the local community while offering a world-class tourism experience.
