The 2025 Seoul International Book Fair, now underway at COEX until June 22, features Seoul Library’s immersive booth showcasing the city’s innovative reading culture policies, including the world’s first outdoor library model.
Visitors can relax on beanbags in a recreated “urban reading space,” experience the signature Silent Book Zone, a focused reading environment with soft music, and explore Seoul’s first public-run book club, Hipdok Club.
Also on display is Seoul Playbook 365, the first Seoul City publication to become a bestseller in the travel category, presented as a customizable guidebook.
The booth introduces other unique initiatives such as the Pop-up Outdoor Library, which brings books to schools, parks, and cultural venues across the city.
Seoul aims to further globalize its identity as a city where reading is part of everyday culture.
