Seoul Battleship Park (Seoul Metropolitan Government)
Seoul will transform its iconic Seoul Battleship Park in Mangwon Hangang Park into a unique summer escape with the first-ever Seoul Battleship Water Picnic on August 9, from 11 am to 7 pm.
The festival offers a variety of water attractions, including large and small water slides, pools, bubble cannons, and a water roller.
Visitors can enjoy both the park’s historic naval ship exhibitions and the water activities, creating a one-of-a-kind “two-in-one” experience. All facilities are categorized for infants, children, and adults, with certified safety personnel on-site.
A highlight is the Patrol Killer vs. Seoul Battleship Water Gun Battle, starting at 2:30 pm, where children join team-based games to soak the opposing team’s flag. Participants must bring their own water guns and wear protective gear such as goggles.
Interactive programs include citizen busking under the I’m a Star stage, random K-pop dance challenges, and poolside recreation led by professional MCs. Events range from underwater treasure hunts to water cannon shows, ensuring fun for all ages.
Four high-energy EDM party sets, headlined by DJ ELJ, will keep the crowd dancing throughout the day, with bubble and water spray performances culminating in a massive water cannon finale at 4:30 pm.
Beyond the water activities, families can explore Seoul Battleship, the Patrol Killer, and a retired submarine, or join guided tours led by a retired navy colonel. The park’s Kids Playground and retro arcade space offer shaded, air-conditioned entertainment for breaks between activities.
Tickets can be purchased on-site (Adults 3,000 won, Youth 2,000 won, Children 1,000 won), and all water facilities are included.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, with aqua shoes required and swimwear recommended.
Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation due to limited parking.
