SUP FESTA

(City of Busan)

Busan’s North Port is transforming into a vibrant waterside playground this summer with the return of the “North Port SUP Festa,” a festival combining marine activities and urban culture.

Running from July 26 to August 6, the event will take place at North Port Waterside Park and feature a range of activities for citizens and tourists to enjoy together under the slogan, “We So Cool, Let’s Play!”

This year’s event offers an expanded lineup of interactive experiences and cultural performances.

Highlights include “Waterbomb Busan 2025,” a large-scale water concert that captures Busan’s youthful spirit and maritime identity.

Visitors can also enjoy stand-up paddle board (SUP) experiences that let them float freely across the port waters while taking in city views.

Families with children can head to Jung-gu’s children’s water park, which will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and includes pools and a craft-based flea market.

In Dong-gu, eco-friendly water leisure programs such as award-winning bikes, pedal kayaks, and the innovative “SUPMARAN” boats, an electric paddleboard boat that allows riders to bring their pets, will be offered free of charge.

Evenings will feature street performances organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, with four busking sessions scheduled between August 1 and 16. The Korean Film Archive will present an open-air screening of Begin Again (2013), offering a dose of hope and summer romance through music and storytelling.

Additional attractions include guided meditation sessions with live music, a “Book Shade” pop-up bookstore in partnership with Kyobo Bookstore, and live concerts from the Kumuda Ensemble and violinist KoN.

Event programs are hosted individually by participating institutions. Details on each program, including participation and reservations, can be found on the official SUP FESTA website bhsupfesta.com.

Some activities allow on-site registration.
