(Taehwagang Water Reed Ecological Experience Center)
Ulsan City, in collaboration with the Taehwagang Ecological Tourism Council, has launched the Taehwagang Water Reed Ecological Experience Center under the Naehwanggyo Bridge in Myeongchon-dong, Buk-gu.
The center will be open daily through November 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and aims to promote the beauty of the water reed colony, one of Taehwagang’s iconic autumn attractions.
Visitors to the center will have the opportunity to learn about the unique characteristics and ecological differences between various wetland plants found in the Taehwagang estuary, including reeds, water reeds, cattails, and daylilies. Guided by a natural environment interpreter, participants will gain insight into the role these plants play in the ecosystem.
In addition to educational activities, the center offers hands-on experiences such as blowing soap bubbles with water reed pipes and crafting winter bird badges and keychains, making it an enjoyable and interactive visit for all ages.
