As the crisp autumn air sets in, Seoul citizens are invited to explore the city’s hidden gems on ‘Ddareungi,’ the city’s public bike-sharing service.

Seoul Facilities Corporation announced that it has unveiled the top 20 ‘Charming Ddareungi Routes,’ as chosen by citizens, on its official website.

The campaign, which ran from May to August, encouraged citizens to recommend their favorite cycling routes to promote the use of bicycles and highlight Seoul’s charm as a vibrant city. Over 1,300 citizens participated in the contest, and the top 20 routes were selected through online voting and evaluation.

Topping the list with 616 votes is the ‘Hangang Nightscape Tour’ route, which starts at Ttukseom Park and stretches across Dongho Bridge, Banpo Bridge, and Nodle Island, covering 13 kilometers of scenic night views along the Han River. The second-place route, receiving 593 votes, is the ‘Han River Bike Park Ecotour,’ which begins at Nodeul Station and passes through Yeouido, Saetgang Ecological Park, and Yanghwa Hangang Park over a 9-kilometer path.

Other popular routes include the ‘Green Path’ (502 votes), a 4-kilometer trail starting at Olympic Park and passing through Seongnaecheon and Jamsil Hangang Park, and the ‘Mapo Bridge to Yeouido’ route (492 votes), which spans 4 kilometers from Seogang Naru Park to Yeouido Park.

In addition to these top choices, the list also features routes like the ‘Metasequoia Forest Path’ in Nanji Hangang Park, the ‘Cheonggyecheon Tour’ showcasing Seoul’s landmarks, and the ‘Flower Viewing Route,’ where riders can enjoy cherry blossoms and roses.

To engage citizens further, the corporation has introduced interactive events, including a Ddareungi Stamp Tour, where participants who complete all 20 routes will receive a Ddareungi keychain and a completion certificate. Additionally, those who post about their Ddareungi rides on social media may win commemorative prizes.

More details can be found on the Ddareungi website.
