Underground Shopping Passage

(Underground Shopping Passage)

The underground shopping passage connecting Suyeong and Gwangan stations on Busan Metro Line 2 has opened after seven years, yet citizens express safety concerns about walking through it.

According to the Busan Transportation Corporation on the 6th, the passage has been open since November 2, prioritizing convenience despite incomplete store occupancy.

Initially completed in January 2017, the opening was delayed due to the developer’s financial issues and COVID-19.

Currently, around 40 of the 167 available shop spaces are occupied, with a target for full opening next month.
