Busan’s 26-day tropical night phenomenon, the longest on record, has ended due to the influence of Typhoon Jongdari.

According to the Busan Regional Meteorological Administration yesterday, the morning low was recorded at 24.7’C.

A tropical night phenomenon is when the temperature remains above 25°C from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day.

Busan had been experiencing tropical nights since July 25, breaking the previous record.

The weather agency explained that the typhoon brought heavy rain to the region overnight on Tuesday, leading to a drop in temperature and a temporary pause in the heatwave.
