STEMinist in person (USA Girl Scouts Overseas)

USA Girl Scouts Overseas (USAGSO) has hosted STEMinist programming virtually for the past 4-years and will now bring in-person STEM programming to Okinawa and South Korea for the first time! USAGSO STEMinist programs feature hands-on, enriching, and age-appropriate STEM activities, each led by an Everyday Superhero—a woman working in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).

USAGSO Program Partner, Erin Twamley is pleased to host these exciting events. Erin is the co-creator and host of the USAGSO STEMinists: Adventures in STEM with Everyday Superheroes program series. She is a writer, a researcher, an educator (M.Ed.), a Lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and a STEMinist. Her passion is working with kids of all ages and grade levels. Erin writes on the topics of women, diversity, science, technology, engineering and math or STEM. She is an award-winning nonfiction children book author. Erin brings interactive encounters to schools, libraries, and Girl Scouts  all around the world. She has lived on three continents.

Girls ages 5-18 in Okinawa and South Korea are invited to join USAGSO and STEMinist, Erin Twamley, for a fun day of designing, building, and programming robots! Come experiment, tinker, learn and problem solve with other STEMinist Girl Scouts, earn a STEMinist fun patch, and build your own robot to take home.
