During COVID 19 Pandemic many support services on Army installations have closed or limited service and many are working through virtual means. USO Casey however, has remained open and serving soldiers every single day during the whole time. “Since COVID 19 pandemic started we have remained open but developed new mobile programs to deliver our services to soldiers locked down at duty locations such as the motor pools on Camp Casey and Camp Hovey” stated Tom Higgins, USO Casey Center Manager.

One of these very successful mobile programs has been our Motor Pool Breakfast Break programs. On 13 October USO Casey traveled to the 55th Military Police motor pool on Camp Casey and provided breakfast packets of breakfast bars, peanuts, muffins, apple/orange juice and bananas. 131 hard working soldiers were there to receive the breakfast packets and appreciated a well-deserved break from their grueling work schedule. “We very much appreciated the support of USO Camp Casey in bringing these morale boosting activities to our soldiers,” stated SFC Rogers of 55th MP Company who helped coordinate this event.

55th MP Company has also been active with USO Camp Casey in sponsoring “Adopt the USO” program which allows units to operate the USO Camp Casey center for 24 hours to allow all our service members to enjoy a place to relax and stay connected to home, family, and country. With our “Adopt the USO” program any unit can help extend the centers hours of operation and the USO Camp Casey staff will help train unit volunteers to provide extended services.

“We are always looking for new and better ways to provide our service members more opportunities and activities that will meet their needs particularly during the current health protection conditions,” stated Tom Higgins. The USO Camp Casey Center provides free Wi-Fi, free snacks, free drinks, coffee bar, movie theater, library, gaming systems and big screen TVs for our patrons to relax and enjoy.

Please stop by USO Camp Casey on 25 November for a traditional Thanksgiving lunch in building 2648 beginning at 1130 hours.
