Though an eventful year has passed and a new one has come, it seems like we still can’t see the end of this pandemic at least this year. And we all know we need to cheer each other more during this hard time. If you want to give your friends and coworkers a new year's greeting energetically in Korean, use this phrase. Let's learn a useful phrase to give greetings for the new year.

“saehae bok mani badeuseyo”

“Happy New Year!” = 새해 복 많이 받으세요.

(sae 새 = new, hae 해= year, bok 복 = good luck, mani 많이 = lot’s of, badeuseyo 받으세요 = get or receive)
