Every year we have the rainy season known as Jangma in Korean, which runs from late June through the end of July. If you’re suddenly caught in some rain, try this phrase before you head out – “Usan gajigo wasseoyo?”
When you want to tell someone “Have you got your umbrella?”, you can say “Usan gajigo wasseoyo?” If he or she doesn't have an umbrella, you can use this. Usan gachi sseu-sil-lae-yo? which means “Will you get under my umbrella?”
“Have you got your umbrella?” = 우산 가지고 왔어요? Usan gajigo wasseoyo? (usan 우산 = umbrella, gajigo wasseoyo 가지고 왔어요? = brought) “Will you get under my umbrella?” ( why don’t you share my umbrella?) = 우산 같이 쓰실래요? Usan gachi sseu-sillae-yo? (usan 우산 = umbrella, gachi sseu-sillae-yo? 같이 쓰실래요?? = share)
