Sugar in the blood is what we call ‘blood sugar’ and diabetes is a disease when the blood sugar level goes high. To prevent various complications, we should regulate the blood sugar level.

As time goes by, the blood with high blood sugar damages blood vessels.
The complications of diabetes mean the state of blood vessels is damaged. So it is really important to keep your blood sugar level healthy and this is the best way to prevent complications caused by diabetes.
Complications may develop in various body organs since blood vessels are everywhere from head to toes.
A person who does not have no diabetes' blood sugar level changes from 70-140 according to the meal or exercise, but if it goes beyond the range, we can classify it as either high blood sugar or low blood sugar.
Precisely, we diagnose diabetes if someone who has an empty stomach before a meal measures and has blood sugar over 126 or if someone has blood sugar over 200 at any time more than 2 times.
If you are diagnosed with diabetes, you have to regulate your pre-prandial blood sugar within a range of 80-120 and postprandial lower than 160. If you don’t regulate your blood sugar, you will suffer from tiredness, hunger, weight loss, hyperuresis, polyphagia, polydipsia and numbness. Moreover, it takes a very long time to heal up scars and the body is exposed to generalized infections such as skin disease, periodontal disease, cold, and flu.
On the other hand, low blood sugar is when your blood sugar level goes under 70. It is really important to know the symptoms because there might be some side effects of the medication.
The symptoms of low blood sugar are trembling with hunger, chills, cold sweat, chest tremor and anxiety. If a patient who has low blood sugar doesn’t take emergency measures, he might faint.
High blood sugar is not immediately dangerous but low blood sugar symptoms should be dealt with as soon as possible. So if you seem to have a symptom, you should eat something sweet that can raise the blood sugar, like candies or juice.
There is no medicine yet which can cure diabetes completely by taking it once. But there are various medicines that can treat high blood sugar and prevent complications so patients should go on a diet and do exercise at the same time.
The most intensive treatment of diabetes is insulin since diabetes is a disease that is caused by less insulin. So medicating with insulin is the most ideal and safe way of treating diabetes. However the biggest weak point of insulin is that it can’t be taken like a pill but has to be injected every day.
Most of adult diabetics’ blood sugar level can be regulated by taking medicine but in some cases, they should have an injection. For example, in the case of suffering from diabetes for more than 10 years and the medicine no longer works, in the case of having big surgery, in the case of having severe complications and so on.
