Humphreys High School Back to School Bash Flyer ()
South Korea - Lambda Xi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. participated in the Back to School Bash at Humphreys High School located on Camp Humphreys Army Base in South Korea. Over 200 high school students, school staff, and family members from the community attended the event on Friday, September 9, 2022 following completion of the school day.
The Brothers of Lambda Xi Chapter provided information about the Annual International High School Essay Contest and scholarships for college bound high school seniors. Sixteen students expressed interest in submitting applications for the contest which ends on October 21, 2022. Participants must write a 700-750 w0rd essay based upon theme:
Winners will receive the following awards: 1st place winner $500 2nd Place winner $300 3rd Place Winner $200
In addition, the Brothers of Lambda Xi Chapter also promoted the Annual Talent Hunt Contest which will take place in the Spring of 2023. High School students in grades 9-12 viewed photos of talent hunt winners that performed at the 83rd Grand Conclave in Charlotte, North Carolina. Twelve students stated they plan on entering the contest to showcase their talents and compete for cash prizes.
The Brothers of Lambda Xi Chapter enjoyed participating in the Back to School Bash. All of the students were very excited to learn about opportunities to receive awards and scholarships. Lambda Xi Chapter remains committed to uplifting and inspiring youth to reach their academic and career goals.
