The 2024 Gyeongnam Specialty Products Expo at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) will be held from November 14 to 17.

This four-day event brings together the region’s best agricultural and specialty products, offering a taste of Gyeongnam all in one place.

Celebrating its 17th year, the expo is co-hosted by Gyeongnam province and Changwon City and organized by Gyeongnam Trade Co., Ltd.

Attendees can explore a wide variety of products from 18 cities and counties across the region, including agricultural, fishery, and livestock products, convenience foods, herbal medicines, health foods, and local crafts.

With 370 booths representing 275 companies, the expo will also feature several themed halls: the Gyeongnam Agricultural Cooperative Promotion Hall, National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service Gyeongnam Branch Promotion Hall, and the Gyeongnam Recommended Products Hall, offering visitors a complete showcase of local specialties and current food trends.

A host of engaging side events will also take place. Visitors can enjoy “Sharing Love Kimchi with Gyeongnam Women Leaders,” organized by the Gyeongnam Agricultural Cooperative, at the convention center’s outdoor plaza. Additional experiences inside include a mini-concert by Yang Ji-won, a popular guest singer from Mr. Trot, along with hands-on activities like flower arranging, dried persimmon jar making, and crafting fruitade candles, all of which highlight the rich cultural heritage of Gyeongnam.

Participation in the experience programs, such as creating dried persimmon jars, fruitade candles, icing cookies, and kimchi, requires a 5,000 won fee. Advanced registration is available, and participants will receive a gift certificate redeemable at the event venue. For more details, visit the official Gyeongnam Specialty Products Fair website.

An export consultation session will also be held to support local businesses in expanding to international markets. This year, 17 prominent buyers from eight countries, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Japan, will join for one-on-one consultations with participating companies.

The expo will include free storage and transportation services within the site for visitor convenience, and robust safety measures will be implemented to ensure a smooth and secure experience for all attendees. Safety personnel will be on-site, and the venue will undergo thorough safety inspections, including emergency transport and route guidance systems.

Admission and parking are free, and the expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the final day concluding at 5 p.m.
