As the weather turns warmer and spring is in the air, it’s a great time to check out some of the many cafes around the city.

Blue Bottle, originating from Oakland, California, is a specialty coffee roaster and café chain known for its high-quality, freshly roasted beans, minimalist aesthetic, and focus on third-wave coffee culture.

Opened in November last year, it’s the only location in Busan among 16 nationwide.

Located on Millak Waterside Road, the café is two stories tall, taking up the fourth floor and the rooftop of the building.

The bar station on the fourth floor is made of wood with a soft, warm feel, and the window seats are made of minimal concrete to emphasize the brand identity.

The rooftop space, which is Blue Bottle’s first, uses red terracotta to create a contrast with the green trees behind the café, adding a sensual aftertaste.

It offers a wide range of espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffees, and seasonal specialties like the Orange Blossom Spiced Latte, with prices ranging from 5,000 to 7,200 won.

The menu also features non-coffee drinks, pastries such as Basque cheesecake and waffles, and unique desserts, including coffee ice cream and a seasonal coffee macaron set.

Visitors can enjoy signature offerings like the Purple Sweet Potato Basque Cheesecake, inspired by Yeongdo’s sweet potato heritage, paired perfectly with pour-over coffee while you enjoy scenic views of Baeksan Mountain, Suyeong River, and Suyeong Bay.

The café also blends local culture, food, and design into a uniquely vibrant coffee experience with exclusive Busan-only items like the embroidered tea towel that are also available.

If you’re around the Millak area, it’s definitely worth the visit to enjoy the great views of the city.
