(Mulhoe)

Myungpum Mulhoe is one of Busan’s most popular spots to enjoy mulhoe, a cold soup made with raw fish.

Mulhoe combines freshly chopped raw fish in a chilled broth and is garnished with pears, onions, and cucumbers.

It is also highly nutritious, low in fat, and rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, and DHA, which helps prevent high blood pressure and other health issues.

With nearly a dozen branches in the city at Songjeong Beach, Yeonsan, Dongnae, and Songdo Beach among others, there are plenty of locations to try this Korean delicacy.

The broth at Myungpum Mulhoe is crafted from 25 ingredients with an over 20-year recipe. The pears and cucumbers used as garnishes are delivered fresh from the farm, ensuring top-notch flavor in every bite.

Rockfish is the preferred seafood at Myungpum Mulhoe, but the restaurant also offers a special menu featuring abalone, sea cucumber, and spoon worm.

Whichever seafood you choose, you’ll enjoy it accompanied by seaweed soup, various vegetables, and other traditional side dishes.

A serving of mulhoe is priced at 18,000 won per person which can be sized up for an extra 5,000 won, while the special mulhoe—ideal for three diners—costs 60,000 won while other menu items range between around 18,000 won to 40,000 won per dish.

For a real taste of Busan, Myungpum Mulhoe is a definite go-to for seafood lovers.
