Being a lover of a good Indian food, Busan has grown over the years to have a great selection of choices.

Dar Bar in Seomyeon was one I visited recently with a friend and instantly fell in love with.

With 28 curries to choose from, including vegetable, chicken, lamb, beef and seafood, and all ranging from 10,000 won to 16,000 won, you are spoiled for choices and won’t be disappointed with whichever you decide.

If you like spicy Indian food, Dar Bar is a great place to dine. The dishes come from the Punjab region and the chefs will adjust the spice level to your tastes.

We went for a half tandoori chicken to start, which came out on a fried bed of onions for 9,000 won. The flavorful chicken was tender and cooked to perfection with the onions adding a nice extra additional accompaniment.

We ordered two curries — a chicken masala and a dal gohst, both with a nice spicy kick as my dining partner enjoys very spicy food. The chicken biryani was also probably the spiciest and tastiest I’ve had in Busan, though they did add peanuts which I wasn’t a big fan of.

The mango lassi and plain yogurt lassi’s were a nice dessert to a great overall dining experience that cost about 50,000 won for two, though we did overdo our order to try as many things as we could.

The interior is quite basic, with Bollywood shows on in the background and the service was excellent.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a good, affordable Indian meal in Seomyeon. Lunch specials are also available.

It is Halal certified and located behind Judie’s Taehwa.

To get there, it is located on Walking Street before the Zara in Seomyeon, and located in an alley next to the CU before the Zara on the same side.
