Doure is one of the few quality Hansik (Korean food) restaurants right by Camp Humphreys. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious menu items and side dishes, all served by a friendly staff. The food is not only flavorful but also beautifully presented, making it enjoyable even for Korean cuisine novices.
The restaurant is famous for their bibimbap menu, featuring a mix of colorful vegetables and rice. However, all the menu items, including those with meat and stews, are equally delightful, so feel free to order anything you like. You won’t be disappointed.
For meat lovers, there are various Korean-style dishes such as stir-fried spicy pork, pork bulgogi set, beef bulgogi in a hot stone pot and chicken teriyaki. Meat dishes come with lettuce wraps and a Korean dipping sauce called ssamjang. Vegetarians can enjoy a barley rice bibimbap, bibimbap in a stone hot pot or soft tofu stew (순두부찌개-sundubu jjigae). If you have specific vegetarian preferences, make sure to inform the staff when ordering.
The side dishes are also a highlight. They include rolled omelet, stir-fried fish cakes, and cucumber kimchi. All are beautifully colored and delicious, and provided free of charge! Feel free to ask the staff for more and they will gladly bring extra sides, as long as you don’t waste food.
Doure (두레) is only a 10-minute walk from Camp Humphreys’ Walk-In Gate. Look for the “Korean Restaurant” sign in English. Free parking is available right in front of the restaurant.
