First rice harvesting in Busan begins

Busan’s Agricultural Technology Center said thtat it will harvest the first rice planted this year in Busan on the morning of the 26th at a field in Jukdong-dong, Gangseo District, owned by Kim Kyung-yang.
This rice will be harvested 126 days after it was first planted in Busan on April 22.

The rice to be harvested is an early-maturing variety, which accounts for 2.5% of Busan’s rice cultivation area.
Notable early-maturing rice varieties in Busan include Haedam rice, Ungwang, Joyeong, and Jomyeong No. 1.
