(City of Busan)

The city of Busan has opened a new children’s cultural space, “Coming and Going,” at the Film Archive on BIFF Hill at the Busan Cinema Center, designed to blend cinematic elements with digital and analog content.

The space, aimed at children, offers a variety of educational and interactive experiences, including English education programs.

Located on the first floor of the Film Archive, “Coming and Going” spans 470 square meters and was developed with an investment of 2.1 billion won.

The space is designed to immerse children in film-related content and activities, featuring areas like the “Net Playground,” “Montage,” “Media Table,” “Block Play,” “Animal Jumping Ball,” “Mirror Room,” “Algebra Shadow Play,” “Praxinoscope,” “LED Studio,” and a “Kids Library” stocked with multicultural and augmented reality (AR) books.

Additionally, as part of Busan’s initiative to promote English language education, the “Let’s Play with English” program will be offered starting in December.

The space will operate daily (except Mondays) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with four sessions per day.

Admission is free for preschool and elementary school children, as well as families, though reservations are required.

More details can be found on the Film Archive’s official website.
