The Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), a premier marketplace for global film and audiovisual content, has unveiled an expanded conference lineup for 2024, promising more depth and diversity than ever before.

This year’s event will explore timely topics, such as the integration of AI in film production and the rapid evolution of Asia’s OTT platforms.

ACFM’s AI conference will feature six sessions focused on the transformative impact of AI on the Asian content industry. Kicking off with a keynote, attendees will gain insights from industry leaders across Korea, China, and Japan, and experience core technologies demonstrated by top companies like Stability AI, Story Protocol, Microsoft, and WEBTOON Entertainment. The sessions will delve into how AI will reshape traditional filmmaking and explore strategies for its coexistence within the content industry.

The Asia OTT Conference will examine business strategies and storytelling approaches unique to Asian OTT platforms as they navigate the competitive landscape against global giants. With sessions focused on the rapid growth of local OTT services, the conference will highlight the distinct storytelling methods that set Asian platforms apart.

ACFM has also introduced the Producer Hub for international co-production and financing, offering networking opportunities and policy discussions with partners from Korea, Spain, and Hong Kong. The Busan Story Market will showcase 23 Korean and Taiwanese IPs through Pitch & Match sessions, while the APM Showcase will present 30 selected projects from the Asian Project Market. Additionally, Platform BUSAN will host events for independent filmmakers to share knowledge and collaborate.

The event, held from October 5 to 8 at BEXCO, Busan, will feature a series of collaborative sessions with global partners, including project pitches and policy presentations from countries such as Malaysia, Italy, Spain, and Saudi Arabia. Through these diverse programs, ACFM aims to provide a comprehensive view of current industry trends and explore new opportunities for future growth.
