The 2024 Gwangbok-ro Winter Light Tree Festival is set to illuminate the streets, filling the area with festive cheer.
The event kicked off with a lighting ceremony Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in front of City Spot, featuring performances and a countdown to light up the entire street.
The festival runs through February 2, 2025, with the lights on display daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Located along Gwangbok-ro and extending into areas of Donggwang-dong and Bupyeong-dong, this year’s theme is “Gwangbok Lights: Masterpiece,” featuring a range of illuminated displays, cultural performances, and community programs.
Event highlights include concerts and community choir performances in front of City Spot on select dates: December 8, 15, and 22 for concerts, and December 7, 14, and 21 for choir performances, all from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Visitors can also enjoy special Christmas-themed activities and photo opportunities with Santa and Rudolph from December 21 to December 22, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
