Haneul Park (Seoul City Government)

The 23rd Seoul Silver Grass Festival will be held from October 19 to 25, 2024, at Haneul Park, World Cup Park, offering visitors seven days of stunning silver grass fields, interactive programs, and evening light shows.

This annual event, which draws inspiration from the gentle breeze flowing through the silver grass, will transform approximately 60,000 square meters of the park into a natural spectacle.

The opening ceremony will take place on October 19 at 6 p.m., featuring a lighting show that will bathe the expansive silver grass fields in laser lights, synchronized with autumn-themed music.

This display, titled “Silver Grass Wind Light Show,” will run three times nightly at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 8:45 p.m. throughout the festival. Due to popular demand, the light show will also be extended for two additional nights on October 26-27.

In addition to the scenic views, visitors can enjoy a range of activities, including the creation of silver grass bouquets, a photo zone for capturing memories, and a “Wish Wind Zone” where attendees can write their wishes on wind tags.

With 22 different photo zones, including a hot air balloon backdrop and a LOVE zone amidst the cosmos fields, there will be plenty of opportunities for unforgettable snapshots.

The festival will also offer 15 interactive programs, including hands-on crafts and busking performances as part of the “Every Corner Live” series. Performances by 26 teams, including acoustic and fusion Korean music groups, will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Additionally, a healing audio meditation session in the silver grass fields and a photo exhibition by the park’s photographers will provide visitors with relaxing and cultural experiences.

As Haneul Park is only open until 9 p.m. during the festival period, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation due to expected traffic congestion.

Festival information, including schedules and program details, is available on the Seoul Parks website.
