Spring time is a great time to get out and enjoy the seasonal activities in Korea. Here are a few great festivals you'll want to add to your list!

1. The K-Royal Culture Festival (April 29 – May 7, 2023)

The largest cultural heritage festival in Korea held at the five royal palaces and other royal sites in Seoul.

Location: Jongno-gu, downtown in Seoul (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Gyeonghuigung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine and Sajikdan Altar)

2. Lotus Lantern Festival (May 19 – May 21, 2023)

One of the most significant Buddhist cultural festivals in Korea and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Location: Jongno-gu, downtown in Seoul (Entire Jongno Street, Gwanghwamun Square, Bongeunsa Temple, Jogyesa Temple)

Lantern Parade: May 20 (Sat) 7:00p.m. - 9:30p.m. at Heunginjimun – Jongno – Jogyesa Temple

3. Seoul Jazz Festival (May 26 – May 28, 2023)\

Enjoy Jazz music with jazz artists from all around the world in Seoul

Location: Olympic Park in Seoul

4. Gochang Green Barley Field Festival (April 15 – May 7, 2023)

Beautiful endless scenery of large green barley fields!

This event only runs on the weekends during April 15 (Sat) – May 7 (Sun).

Location: Hakwon farm, Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do

5. Miryang Arirang Festival (May 18 – May 21, 2023)

This is a large traditional musical festival as Arirang is a Korean folk song and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

6. Welcome to Joseon (April 1 – June 18, 2023)
