Air Busan has officially confirmed that it will begin operating direct flights from Busan to Bali, Indonesia, starting on the 30th of next month.
This marks the airline’s first Indonesian route and the first medium- to long-distance direct flight from Gimhae International Airport.
Flights will operate four times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Departures from Gimhae Airport are scheduled for 6:10 p.m., with arrivals at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport at 12:05 a.m. the following day.
The return flight departs Bali at 1:15 a.m. and lands in Busan at 9:10 a.m.
The flight time is approximately 6 hours and 55 minutes, and Air Busan will use its state-of-the-art A321neoLR aircraft, which seats 220 passengers.
The Busan-Bali route, spanning 5,389 kilometers, is currently the longest international route from Gimhae Airport.
Previously, the longest routes were to Malaysia and Singapore, making this a significant expansion of the airport’s offerings. Generally, long-distance routes are defined by flight times exceeding 7 hours and distances over 5,000 kilometers.
Air Busan began preparing for the Bali service after securing operating rights in May, following a decision by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to establish direct flights from Busan to Bali and Jakarta.
Although the airline had aimed to launch the route ahead of early October holidays, delays in local preparations pushed the start date to the 30th. With this new route, Air Busan enters the ranks of mid- to long-haul carriers.
To celebrate the inaugural flight, Air Busan is offering a special promotion for Busan-Bali tickets. From 11 a.m. through to the 13th, one-way tickets, including fuel surcharges and airport taxes, will start at 299,000 KRW.
The promotional fares apply to travel between the 30th of next month and March 29th of next year.
