The Republic of Korea Air Force’s special flight team, the Black Eagles, will conduct an air show over Okpo Waterside Park at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, to mark the opening of the 63rd Geoje Okpo Battle Festival.

Ahead of the main event, two pre-flight sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, and one for Friday, June 13. Residents are advised of potential noise from low-flying aircraft during these times.

The Black Eagles, flying T-50B supersonic jets, are known for their aerial precision and are expected to draw large crowds.

Geoje City has recommended alternative viewing spots such as Okpo Central Park, Okpo Victory Commemorative Park, and Okpo Sculpture Park due to anticipated traffic congestion near the main site.

City officials noted that the schedule may be adjusted or canceled depending on weather conditions, and entry restrictions may be in place if attendance exceeds capacity.
