(Chuseok)

The city of Busan held a ‘Chuseok Price Stabilization Meeting’ yesterday in the City Hall conference room, presided over by Vice Mayor Lee Joon-seung.

The meeting discussed ongoing efforts and measures to stabilize prices during the Chuseok holiday.

According to the city, while the consumer price inflation rate has remained stable at around 2%, uncertainties such as fluctuations in international oil prices due to geopolitical conflicts and agricultural supply issues remain.

In particular, reduced vegetable harvests combined with holiday demand have raised concerns about price increases.

To address this, Busan plans to significantly increase the supply of key holiday goods, such as fruits, compared to usual levels, and it is encouraging wholesale corporations and related organizations to release more stock into the market.
